Have you ever wanted to share with someone about Christ's redemption but felt you didn't know enough verses or how they apply to that topic?
What about the topic of God's love?
Or man's sinful condition?
What about the topic of God's love?

I've been working on something for a while now and I think I've finally figured out a good way to help with this. I'm the kind of person who remembers phrases from verses but always forgets where they are in the Bible! For me, flash cards are a great way to make it stick in my brain. I've tried many flash card apps on my phone and found StudyBlue to be my favorite because it has a clean, easy-to-use interface and there are some good features (such as studying the ones I got wrong, studying the cards in order or randomly, etc.). On top of that, any flash cards I produce are made available to the public, so that means you can use them too! And it's completely free!
So then the question became how to best format the information onto cards and if I would add any additional information beyond the verse and the reference. As I was going through different iterations, I came across a book that lays things out really well! It's called, Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures by Witness Lee and the topics are listed in a clear format and the content presents a key verse (or the relevant portions of it) and explanatory text below it. As I read through the book, I was so impressed with the clarity and impact of the verses chosen and the corresponding explanatory texts. So I've used the verses and selected quotes from the text for the flash cards. Here's what you'll experience with these flash cards:

Do you know what verse or portion of a verse this is?
This is the 1st flash card under the series, "Christ's Redemption: His Death."

Let's flip the card over!
It's 1 Peter 2:24! Below the verse reference is a sentence that explains how this verse relates to the topic.
If you got the verse reference right, click the green thumbs up. If not, click the red thumbs down. Then you'll move onto the next card. If you want to end early, click "Done" at the bottom right.

You can even study these cards on your computer if you want to!
I've found that this helps me to (1) know verses related to a topic, (2) memorize the references of those verses, and (3) have some content that explains why the verse relates to the topic. I invite you to try this out! You have to sign up, but it's completely free. I'll be rolling out flash cards as I go through the book but thus far I have: Man's Condition, God's love, and Christ's Redemption (in 4 parts). I hope this resource will be of great benefit to you!
Enough Talk! Gimme the Flash Cards!
If this is something you're interested in, start by downloading the app. Once you open it, sign up with your email or FB/Google. Again, it's completely free.
I won't get into all the details, but in order for you to use all of the flash cards for free, you'll need to download the file that has the flash cards and import them into your StudyBlue account. Don't worry, this is a simple process.
At the top left of my blog is a button that says, "Flash Cards." Click that button and it will take you to a page that has all the flash card files that I've made thus far organized by topics. Simply click on the topic you're interested to download that set of flash cards!

Once you've downloaded the file, you'll need to sign into StudyBlue on your computer to import the files.
On the left side, click "Make Cards" and near the middle of the page you'll see small text that says, "Import." Click that.
Then click "Choose a file" and select the file you downloaded. Then, voila!
You've got all the flash cards! Now click on where it says, "Untitled Flashcards" to give this set a title.
Since this set of flash cards is from the set, "Man's Condition," I would title it so. Whenever you open the app on your phone, it will automatically sync so whatever flash cards you load onto your account will automatically be accessible on your phone!
I've Loaded the Flash Cards. Now what?
Now that you've loaded the flash cards, accessing them is as easy as clicking the picture of the backpack on the bottom left and clicking the topic you'd like to study. After you've clicked on the topic you'd like to study, tap the "Flip Cards" button at the top left. A few options will come up. I suggest first studying the cards from "First to Last." Then click, "Let's Do This."
And that's it! You're on your way to knowing more Bible verses for crucial topics in the Christian life!
My hope is that this resource would allow the word of Christ to dwell more richly in you and to help you to have a larger storehouse of understanding and verses for each of these crucial topics. Praise the Lord!
