I recently had the opportunity to share again at the Christian Students Sunday ministry meeting at USC. It seems like the topics I choose are always comparisons. I suppose that shouldn't be surprising, since the most impactful way of presenting a topic to me is describing how wonderful something is while simultaneously painting the stark contrast of its alternative. This time, it was the victory of being in Christ contrasted with the defeat of being in Adam. If you watch the video you'll see that this fact is once-for-all doctrinally, while also moment-by-moment in our daily experience. After I explain the difference between the two, I conclude with three phrases: walk in Him, dwell in Him, and found in Him. These three are my desire for every believer, especially those who watch this video.
Last week I had the opportunity to speak on Sunday morning at USC for our ministry series on "Saved in His Life." The topic was the Law vs. Grace as seen from Romans chapters 3 and 4 and the messaged can be summarized in the question: If God's salvation is clearly through grace and not through the works of the law, then why did God give the law? Above is the recording of the speaking and below is a loose transcript if you'd prefer to read it. Enjoy!

Today, the world is at our fingertips and all it takes is a tap or a swipe to get there. It's easier today than it's ever been to turn our back on the Lord and be fully absorbed in the affairs of this world. Instead, we should be those who shut our door to the world and turn our hearts to the Lord. It must be God's mercy that most smartphones have an airplane or sleep mode...
